The annual Lopez Children’s Center Holiday Bazaar returns Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lopez School gym. The cherished island tradition will raise crucial operating funds for both the Lopez Children’s Center and the Lopez Island Education Foundation.
Shop local, support education
Looking for something truly special this season? Sleigh your gift list in our one-stop-shop! The event features a diverse lineup of local artists, makers and producers showcasing unique, handcrafted creations and tasty treats.
The bazaar will provide support for both early childhood and K-12 programs. Two local organizations will benefit:
LCC: 20% of every vendor sale will support the Lopez Children’s Center, the island’s only licensed child care facility serving young children from ages 1 through 6.
LIEF: All bake sale proceeds will benefit the Lopez Island Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization bridging community support and state-based funding for our public school.
Three convenient cashier stations inside the gym will accept cash, checks and all major credit cards to ensure a seamless shopping experience for attendees. Shoppers with kids in tow can take advantage of our free onsite child care with crafts for kids throughout the duration of the Bazaar. See the LCC info desk for more.
Music, food and vendor information
Local musicians and preschool parents The Lark & The Loon are scheduled to perform a special holiday music set from noon to 1 p.m. Time your visit for lively melodies and prepare for a festive mood as we usher in this season of light and love!
Come hungry and enjoy food from local Poutine Your Mouth as well as the bakesale while listening to The Lark & the Loon play!
Organizers are still accepting applications from local artists, makers and producers interested in securing vendor space or volunteering. Direct inquiries to lopezbazaar@gmail.com.
A cornerstone of the island community, the Lopez Children’s Center provides place-based early care and education for children ages 1 through 6. The annual Holiday Bazaar is a key effort toward sustaining its programming and supporting early childhood education on Lopez Island.
