“I particularly enjoyed trying to capture the feeling of different places and people in our travels,” she said. “The colors and light often matched the mood of a place, and allowed me to capture my vision of its essence.”

While seven of her pieces were displayed earlier this year in a joint show with Robert S. Harrison at Lopez Library, the Hamlet exhibit will showcase a larger selection of her work.

Gladstone has loved photography from an early age, but only began photographing professionally in her twenties. One of her images was recently chosen for “Harvest: The Bounty of Washington,” a juried show of fine art photography at the Washington State Convention Center. Raised in Massachusetts, she obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Smith College in 2012 and moved here in 2013.
