By Brenda M. Asterino

Making egg salad at kitchen sink.

Slicing warm naked eggs cupped in hand.

Looking up and out to sunlight

And there was a Hummingbird.

Shorter than my little finger.

Hardly wider.

Rust colored all over with black masked face

Sipping boldly, precisely from feeder.

Taking time to get his fill.
