Need video editing software? The library has it!

Are you a frustrated filmmaker? Do you have some great ideas you’d like to express in a video but you don’t have the equipment to make it happen? The Lopez Island Library may have the solution to satisfy your desires. Not only does the Lopez Library have video cameras and a tripod to check out but we have recently installed a new Mac computer with Final Cut Pro X installed.

With this equipment and editing software, you can produce professional looking videos for your personal needs or for an organization you are associated with. Make an appointment with Sam Bernardi (the library IT specialist) for a tour of the new set up. He is available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 12 p.m. If you’re not familiar with Final Cut Pro X we also have iMovie available or with your library card log into Lynda.com and take a training course on Final Cut. This new editing station was made possible by a generous donation from one of our library patrons. Call the library to make an appointment with Sam at 468-2265.
