Summer Reading Program Winners

Librarians Karen Rogers and Rosie Sumner award Summer Reading Program participants Juniper Blomberg (Lopez Bookshop Gift Certificate), and Freda Kvistad prizes for participating in the library’s summer reading program. Fourteen  readers met the teen program’s goal of reading 600 minutes in six weeks.  Quinn Steckler won a GameStop gift card, Uma Chopra won an iTunes gift card, and Ty Greacen and Hazel Arden received the $25 cash prizes.  Forty-four young readers participated in the program for pre-readers to fifth graders, earning “book bucks” to spend at the Lopez Bookshop.  The library’s summer reading programs are made possible by the Friends of the Lopez Island Library.
