Lopez School baseball enters its third season

Lopez Lobos baseball program enters its third year under the leadership of Jeremiah Johnson. “We have lots of young blood coming into the program,” said Johnson, “bringing some skill and enthusiasm.”

The Lobos squared up against the Orcas Vikings for their first game of the season on Thursday, March 17 at 11:30 a.m. on Orcas Island.

This year’s co-ed team includes: seniors, Mikayla Johnson, Conor Dye, Thomas Hobi and Harrison Goodrich; juniors, Austin Reinmuth and Jorge Arturo Solis; sophomores, Uhane Johnson and Gavin Goodrich; freshman Galen Westervelt; eighth-graders, Tyler Sovelove, Lichen Johnson and Reese Hamilton.

“We have high hopes of competing well and having some fun,” said Johnson. “We’re looking forward to a great season.”
