Congratulations to the primary winners

Congratulations to the primary winners

I congratulate Bob Jarman and Bill Watson for their primary wins. I hope that they will consider the ideas from the platform that I ran on that I found imperative: operating with an advisory board putting community first over special interests; changing some county priorities to promote preventive social solutions; implementing fair and equitable policies that would lower the number of lawsuits against the county and gain respect for the county and its employees; and that county employees, nonprofit organizations, businesses and citizens should be treated respectfully by the county government. Onward and upward.

Thank you from Bill Watson

The Aug. 2 primary is done and I’d like to thank all the people who supported me. But the work is not done as we now move forward to the Nov. 8 general election. I commit to continuing and expanding the many discussions that I have had with citizens about their issues, concerns, and interests.

This election is not about me. It is about what you, the citizens, expect, want and need in your county council. I pledge to continue to listen and to work on the issues that you feel are important. By working together, I believe we can always strive to do better.

Thank you for your past and future support.

Bill Watson

Candidate for San Juan County Council, District 1

Thank you from Bob Jarman

I would like to thank everyone who supported me in the Aug. 2 primary for county council putting me on the November ballot.

I pledge to continue representing ALL the citizens of San Juan County as your councilman to the very best of my ability as I have done the past four years.

Going forward we, the council, have a lot of work to do. I believe that my fellow council members and I make the best team to steer our county forward into the future. Again, thanks for your support!

Bob Jarman

S.J.C. Councilman Dist. 1
