Friends of Lopez Island Pool is postponing the Appreciation Celebration event at the pool site that was planned for Oct. 6. This is due to the reality that the site may not be safe because of its current condition and due to technical uses with the permits.

Flip appreciates the entire community for its interest and financial contributions. We especially want to recognize and honor Sen. Kevin Ranker and County Councilman Jamie Stephens for being champion supporters. They have been instrumental in getting substantial government support for the Lopez Swim Center which has made a huge difference. Flip is looking forward to continuing working with them toward our goal.

So — Lopez can count on a big FLIP event in the Spring!
