Acrobatic Conundrum presents Love and Gravity at Lopez Center this Saturday

In this new, thrillingly beautiful circus show, Acrobatic Conundrum transports audiences to a captivating world seemingly free of the bounds of physics, but not free of the capricious struggle for human connection.

Fluent in the language of acrobatics, this cast risks all on a quest to tell honest accounts from an uncharted territory. Real life romances are portrayed through mesmerizing juggling acts, breathtaking aerial and partner acrobatics — all while balancing on a bar 20 feet in the air. This show will upend everything you thought you knew about these two laws of attraction: Love and Gravity.

And the show is entirely family friendly. Bring the whole family to the circus.

Acrobatic Conundrum, Seattle’s premier contemporary circus arts company, creates ensemble-based performances that engage and amaze audiences. Founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Terry Crane, the company blends virtuosic circus skill, dance and physical theater to create work that is poetic, a little absurd, beautiful and deeply relatable. Acrobatic Conundrum has produced five shows and appeared nationally and internationally at such venues as New York City’s SummerStage, the Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, the Smithsonian Museum’s Renwick Gallery, the Vancouver CircusFest, TEDx Rainier and The Backstreet Festival in Alexandria, Egypt. The company is a 2015 recipient of the City of Seattle’s CityArtist Projects Award.

Acrobatic Conundrum performed at Lopez Center last year and delighted the Lopez audience. The Center is excited to welcome them back.

The show is this Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Lopez Center. Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for youth. They are available from Paper Scissors on the Rock, Blossoms Organic Grocery, Lopez Bookshop and lopezcenter.org.
