The Orcas Island Garden Club will sponsor a garden tour on Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featured gardens will have an array of ornamental and natural plantings, rockeries, water features, fruit trees, and vegetable beds.

Five gardens can be explored: Victorian Valley Gardens, a young and vibrant garden located close to the Victorian Valley Chapel and pond; Virginia's Garden, a mature Japanese-style garden in a somewhat shady location on the waters of West Sound; Seaside Rock Garden, a spectacular terraced seaside rock garden planned with professional assistance; Top of the Rock, high on a rock ridge this site presents gardening challenges and hardships of rapid drainage, shallow soil, and browsing deer; and Adiran's Garden with a view over the northern San Juans, a waterfall, and a pool blended into a rocky woodland area.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at Darvill's Book Store, Driftwood Nursery, Christianson's Nursery and Greenhouse, and Smith and Speed Mercantile.
