Officers out in force New Year's Eve

The Sheriffs Department encourages islanders to make sure designated drivers or taxicabs are part of plans for celebrating New Years Eve.
Sheriff Bill Cumming said officers will have a sharp-eye out for drunken drivers. The sheriffs office maintains a zero-tolerance policy on drinking and driving, Cumming said.
Wed like everyone to remember taxicabs and designated drivers are a good way to make sure their holiday is both fun and safe, Cumming said.
