Solid waste forum on Lopez Sept. 22

To help resolve the current solid waste problems in San Juan County, an in-depth review, with potential solutions will take place Sept. 22, 2 – 4 p.m. at Lopez Community Center.
Concerned San Juan County community members, officials and environmental organizations can participate and express their views and suggestions.
Washington State Ecology and San Juan personnel in charge of solid waste and recycling in San Juan County may provide their input and recommendations.
Washington State law suggests that each transfer station should be self sustaining. Some Lopez residents wish to undertake the operation of the local transfer station.
