UW Medicine listened to community feedback and we’re pleased to announce a change you’ve been asking for. The Lopez Island Clinic will provide lab work for many tests ordered by providers not affiliated with UW Medicine.

Simply schedule a lab appointment at the clinic, bring the lab order from the outside provider and register with UW Medicine so the test can be reported in our system to the ordering provider. Registration is free. Patients are only charged applicable laboratory test fees. For more details and to schedule, call (360) 468.2245.

Once samples are drawn, we’ll send them to our lab in Seattle. When the test is completed, we’ll forward the lab results to the outside, requesting provider.

Lab orders will not be entered into the UW Medicine electronic medical record, and clinic providers will not manage the results.

We recognize that Island communities can have unique needs. We’ll continue to listen to your feedback and adjust our services, when we can, to provide you with the best care and service possible.
