Lopez Island Grange #1060 is pleased to present the 2018 sci-fi thriller “Prospect” and Q&A with Sebastian Lasbo at the Lopez Island Grange. Lasbo grew up on Lopez, and is a graduate of Lopez Island High School and Evergreen State College. He worked as second camera assistant on the film, and currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he runs his own film company, Shot In The Dark Productions, with his girlfriend Louise Askly. Lasbo will be teaching a Kid’s Summer workshop on film at the Lopez Island Family Resource Center during the week and will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

The film follows a teenage girl and her father as they travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. It was shot entirely in the Northwest in the Hoh Rainforest and Shoreline.

The film will be shown at Lopez Island Grange, 452 Richardson Road on Friday, July 19, at 7 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the Lopez Island Grange with a suggested donation of $5-10. Please note this film is rated R.
