Lopez islander Laura Kester made Whitworth University’s Provost’s Honor Roll for the fall semester of 2016. For a student to qualify for the Provost’s Honor Roll, they must achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.75.

Located in Spokane, Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian church. The university, which has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
