Racing To the Finish

The last hurrah is this weekend, then the switch will be thrown where summer shuts off and we prepare for winter. Make good preparations, too…long range forecasts call for a lot of rain this winter, so at some point, double and triple check anything that could potentially leak, drown or flood. We don’t want to be sorry in a couple of months!

Well, my friends, half the planets are retrograde now and the big T-Square is easing off for a bit, but it will come back again. In the meantime, recharge your personal batteries, continue with random acts of kindness where and when you can, and let’s prepare to slow down some.

Right now, the energy of Mars and Venus conjoined in the sign of Libra brings strategy and legal issues to the limelight; this same conjunction enhances the arts, especially music; there should be plenty of inspiration to go around.

Who is retrograde right now? Mercury (until the 12th), Jupiter (until mid-November), Uranus (until early December), Neptune (until early November) and Pluto (until the 15th). Both Jupiter and Uranus have reversed back into Pisces, so this is one indication of the recent flooding and severe rainstorms in parts of the world. Pisces is a water sign and Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Since both are in water signs until the third week of January 2011, we can fully expect to get more than our fair share of water from the sky.

Aries (March 21- April 19): Lots of good stuff this week, since we begin the week with a beautiful aspect between three planets that offsets the big T-Square. Even though Mercury is still retrograde in your sector of work/health, it is in a lovely aspect to the Moon as we begin the week, giving you a rare and auspicious boost and a sense of being well grounded. Very nice! And it’s about time, isn’t it? Still, use the retrograde Mercury protocol but Mercury will actually help you see the way through this week. It will be obvious.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): A lovely Grand Trine in earth signs opens the week and only on Monday; you will fly into this week in good spirits and with things going in the right direction even during this retrograde Mercury; this is largely because Mercury is one of the planets in the grand trine. The Moon in your sign is another part of this lovely aspect, so you will definitely gather your wits about you and forge on through the last week of summer vacation with all the information you need. Yes!

Gemini (May 21- June 20): A very lucky aspect between your Ruler Mercury (who is still retrograde) moves into a beautiful aspect with the Moon to start the week. Look to glean more useful information on something you’re searching for, possibly a connection with someone from your past (most likely female since the moon is involved), and a great opportunity to build a scaffold that will hold up for the entire week! Don’t take anything for granted; this is a gift from the planets so use it well.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): A lovely aspect between the Moon and retrograde Mercury puts a smile in your life to start your new week! Looks like you are reconnecting in a magical way this week; little miracles that will make you smile and give you that “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh” feeling. It’s been a crazy time, but as long as you look around you and what you have and who loves you, you’ll glide through this week with grace and style. It will be an active week and you will get to choose stuff for a change instead of feeling like you have no choice!

Leo (July 23 – August 22): We begin the week with a sprinkling of magic as retrograde Mercury kisses the Moon and straightens things up enough to move through the week feeling like you’re on solid ground. Half of the planets are in retrograde right now but the critical ones aren’t. This is good! You get to regroup, get your mane tamed, and party on! You are reserved but you do have your moments of goofiness and those will be well received this week. Focus on the humor of it all!

Virgo (August 23 – September 21): Lucky you, retrograde Mercury in your sign kisses the Moon and sets up a great week for you! With half of the planets retrograde now and the big T-Square kind of quiet for a bit, get going on what’s been left undone and know that it will turn out well. You have a lot of feminine energy around you right now, so give those girls some love and let them know how much you appreciate them! You may be tempted to engage in some random acts of kindness, too. You’re good at that. Enjoy the week!

Libra (September 22 – October 23): Mars and your Ruler Venus are still hand in hand in the late degrees of your sign. Your energy level is up but your energy to suffer fools gladly is way down. Good thing! The week begins with a beautiful aspect between retrograde Mercury and the Moon, and this sense of solidity will give you the earth under your feet to elegantly walk through the entire week! Half of the planets are retrograde anyway, so just make stuff up as you go along and experiment.

Scorpio (October 24- November 22): This week opens with retrograde Mercury embracing the Moon, so believe it or not, resolutions are possible! Wow. Mars and Venus are still hand in hand in your sector of Endings/New Beginnings; you are wrapping it up nicely and since half of the planets are retrograde right now and their energies are diminished, you can make a lot of headway. The energy is going to shift in a big way for you next week as activity ramps up again so take full advantage of this week!

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): With half the planets in retrograde motion, your sense of humor is downright off the wall and probably socially inappropriate, but those who truly know you will forgive you for opening your mouth only to change feet. A lovely aspect between retrograde Mercury and the Moon sets the week up to reexamine emotions and perspectives from recent times. If you were off the mark about something, step up to the plate and correct it. As September comes in, so will fresh new energy for you, but you still have to wait a little bit.

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20): Oh, my! The week starts with Mercury backing up to the Moon…your sign points the way, and there is a lovely kiss. This is called a Grand Trine. This week will be your chance to shine in negotiations and peacemaking. We’ve had a magical (albeit short) summer, so make your lovely self available for social events and rest your mind from problem solving. We still have another week to go with Mercury retrograde, but four other planets are retrograde too, so somebody has to be in charge! You love to be in charge!

Aquarius (January 21 – February 20): Your spark of magic and the reactions you bring from people (such as “Huh??!!”) gives the necessary pause now so give yourself a pat on the back! This week opens with a lovely aspect between retrograde Mercury and the Moon as they embrace for a minute and encourage us to conduct a reality check. Even you. Of course, you live in a parallel universe, so try not to convince anyone of anything for another couple of weeks. Your mind is very creative right now due to Mars and Venus hand in hand in your sector of Expansion; use this for your own benefit!

Pisces (February 21 – March 20): This week opens with retrograde Mercury backing up to embrace the Moon on Monday. This sparks an “it’s all good” attitude and whether or not it’s true, it’s better than complaining! Things begin to calm down in general and hopefully you are swimming in calm waters. If not, just bury yourself under a blanket until Mercury goes direct! Seriously, you’re doing fine, and with five planets in retrograde motion, Venus and Mars hand in hand in your sector of intimacy/shared assets fires your rockets in a good strategic manner.
