Doublets

We have a very interesting situation of most of the 10 planets being in conjunction, paired up, with another. This is pretty rare. This week opens with the Sun conjunct Saturn in Libra, Venus conjunct Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Pisces. This type of pairing is called “doublets.” Each pair of planets amplifies the signals, and if one doublet is in a difficult aspect with another doublet, it can get a bit hairy. In this case, everyone is affected by these doublets in one way or another; All Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn and Libra), Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) and the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces). Doublets pack a punch by amplifying the traits of the sign they occupy. This is a real “wow” time, so don’t expect anyone to be completely themselves. The stresses and strains of the past two years is unraveling, and while we are out of the major and damaging aspects that began in August 2008, we are still experiencing spikes of angst. It has been a very painful time for many and we need to have patience and walk lightly. Pushing and shoving and demanding and confronting won’t really do any good, and neither will temper tantrums and running roughshod. No one is impervious to these doublets, so it would be best to practice prudence, manners and self control. No excuses. No victim thinking. The calmer the mind, the more likely the solution will present itself in the form of steps to be taken to correct the problem or challenge.

For those who pray, pray. Or meditate, or whatever you do to calm your mind and center yourself. It begins and ends with each of us.

Aries (March 21- April 19): The Sun and Saturn doublet in your sector of relationships are likely to enhance your marriage in a way that restructuring something will be of great benefit. This could be division of labor/responsibilities or a complete overhaul. If you’re single, this could signal someone coming into your life that will challenge levels of laziness you’ve accumulated in terms of relating to another at close range. Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The Venus/Mars doublet in your sector of relationship bolsters your need to gain recognition. Wrangle for a romantic meal out or a day trip…something that will galvanize the partnership in a good way. The Sun/Saturn doublet in your sector of work/health means a health issue with yourself or a pet may be cause for concern. Another good reason to lessen the stress that is superfluous.

Gemini (May 21- June 20): With your sign being a doublet all by itself, you are likely to feel pulled in different directions and the paralysis that goes with it. The Sun/Saturn doublet will help you make an informed decision, the Venus/Mars doublet will enhance your research skills and the Jupiter/Uranus doublet will give you the courage to know that the results could be unexpected; you will take a calculated risk.
