3D printing class at the Lopez Library

Submitted by The Lopez Island Library

The Lopez Island Library invites anyone interested in learning about 3D printing to a program at the library on Saturday, June 22, at 2:30 p.m. This program is part of the ongoing series of hands-on activities presented by the Lopez Library in partnership with the Lopez Solid Waste Alternative Program. Are you curious about 3D printing, what it does and how it can be a useful resource for recycling and reusing materials? Do you have prints you want to make, or just see how it all happens? This introductory class, facilitated by SWAP’s Nikyta Palmisani, will be an overview of how 3D printing works, how to access free software, and will also include a few demonstration prints. If you would like to create your own small print, please bring your own laptop to the program, with design codes already downloaded. This library program is free and open to all. Children who are under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. Please contact nikytap@lopezsolidwaste.org with any questions.
