I consider it a privilege to endorse Michael Durland for County Council. I have lived in Deer Harbor, not far from Michael for six years and during those years my appreciation for his integrity and insight has continued to grow.

I was surprised to learn that Michael had decided to seek this responsibility. I know Michael has always had a strong interest in public and environmental affairs, but I believe this is the first time he has sought public office.

I think we are fortunate to have Michael as a friend and active participant in the life of the County. We would be especially fortunate to have his service in our County government.
