Lopez Island Senior Services would like to invite the community to the seventh annual Islanders Bank Sixth Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday May 16 at 1:00 p.m.

Entry into the four-person team 18-hole scramble tournament is $50 per person, and this includes two drinks and a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party following the event. Sandwiches will be available prior to tee-off and free hot dogs after nine holes.

The winning foursome will have their names inscribed on the Jack Saul Memorial Trophy. Saul was a philanthropist on Lopez Island and he was instrumental in improving the course’s fairways.

Woodmen Hall, on Fisherman Bay Road, was built in 1898 by the Woodmen of America. It was acquired by Lopez Senior Services in 2003 with the hope of expanding services in the outgrown space in the basement of the Fire Hall. Lopez Senior Services provides services to senior citizens on Lopez, administering county, state and federal grants for home care, hospice and meals-on-wheels.

Proceeds will benefit the renovation of Woodmen Hall and help support senior services operations. For information or to register, call the Senior Center at 468-2421 day, or 468-3901, evenings.
