Island Hospital to dedicate facility

Island Hospital invites the public to the dedication celebration for its completed renovation and expansion project from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 1. The event will be held adjacent to the reopened hospital main entrance at 1211 24th St.

Featured will be a short program at 6 p.m. as well as tours, giveaways and refreshments. Attendees will be able to see what items were selected for a time capsule to be opened in 2037, on the original Island Hospital’s 75th anniversary.

Phase II of the project includes a renovated and expanded birth center, cafeteria, front lobby, gift shop, espresso bar and more.

There is no charge or reservation requirement for the event; call 360-299-1371 for information.
